About The Class

Instructor: Erin Sweeney

Medium: Book Arts

Workshop Title: Fold, Sew, Multiply, Repeat!

Learn both folded and sewn book structures, and then progress to combining structures to create another book/story/object/sculpture. Examine how these simple structures can morph and multiply to create something larger, sculptural, and interactive. Explore text and image-generating techniques: writing prompts, tape transfers, pochoir, and roller prints, as well as dyeing and manipulating Tyvek. Together we will also conceive and construct an installation using skills learned through the week. Open to all.

Materials list will be posted here by May 14.
