About The Class

Instructor: Christopher Volpe

Medium: Painting

Workshop Title: Creating a Series

Equipping you with a set of tools to create personally meaningful work is the goal. The method? Through interactive, generative, and creative exercises, we will remove barriers to expression. You will work in series, taking work through multiple iterations to develop a creative practice marked by originality, feeling, and a unifying conceptual theme. Bring an open mind and a willingness to experiment and to engage with the past and present. The instructor will use oil paints, but you are encouraged to work in any medium you choose.

Artists are people on a public path of self-discovery. Technique is important, but so is having something to say. And we all have something to say.
