Medium: Book Arts
Workshop Title: Books That Speak
Create up to nine artists' books in this introductory workshop. The emphasis will not only be on the structures but also recognizing the relationship to the narrative. There will be supportive dialogue and possibly a critique. Participants are encouraged to bring extra items to be included in the books.
Open to all.

About The Instructor
Carolyn Shattuck
Carolyn lives and teaches in Vermont. She developed an appreciation for Japanese prints while living in Okinawa. She received an MFA in Painting from Bard College.Her body of sculptural Artists Books addressing endangered species and underrepresented artists have been collected by University Special Book Collections including The Smithsonian. Many of her books relate to social and environmental issues.
